Spent last night and today reading between Patti Smith’s M Train and Richard Siken’s Crush. This piece from the latter I wanted to try and record myself reading. Using the character from One Thousand and One Nights to portray a love that continues. I haven’t even unpacked the entirety of the poem yet, but the composition and how it just sounds when you read it in your mind’s head feels so sensual and intimate. Hope you don’t mind. Okay back to my unpacking my own messy drafts.
